Colorado Conscious Birthing was founded by Alethea Stone BSN, RN-C, and Kristi Tullis BA, RN, CLC. In addition to our backgrounds in maternal and infant nursing, Alethea and Kristi are both BIRTHING FROM WITHIN® mentors and are committed to bringing a wider range of birth and preparation choices and support to the Yampa Valley community.

Alethea has been working with birthing families as a Labor and Delivery nurse for the past 8 years.  She is truly inspired and amazed by the power of birthing mothers. She became a trained

BIRTHING FROM WITHIN®  mentor out of her desire to help guide more women along the path of empowerment through their birth experiences.

Kristi became inspired by BIRTHING FROM WITHIN® while preparing for the birth of her own daughter in 2003.  As a result of her birth experience she was moved to switch her focus in nursing to NICU and Labor and Delivery.  She has furthered her passion for birth by becoming  a trained BIRTHING FROM WITHIN® mentor as well as a certified Lactation Counselor.
